Hello, my name is David and welcome back to my channel. In this week’s episode, I’ll be flying on Cathay Pacific Boeing 777-300Ers in Economy Class for a flight from Sydney to Hong Kong. Cathay recently won the award for world’s best eocnomy class so I’m interested to find out if that’s really the case here. Our 9-hour flight from Sydney to Hong Kong should really put the claim to the test. Additionally, I will also show you the Qantas First lounge at Sydney Airport that I could access with my oneworld emerald status. So, without further adieu, let’s sit back, relax and enjoy!

A few highlights of the flight:

✅ First Class check-in counters due to Oneworld Emerald status, despite Cathay Pacific no longer flying First Class to Sydney.
✅ Qantas First Lounge at Sydney Airport, considered one of the best lounges in Australia, through my Oneworld Emerald status.
✅ Updated Boeing 777-300ER with Aria Suites, one of only five in Cathay Pacific's fleet with this configuration.
✅ 45 Business Class Aria Suites, 48 Premium Economy seats, and 268 Economy Class seats.
✅ Economy Class cabin featured Recaro CL3710 seats in a 3-4-3 layout, with a smart and sharp appearance.
✅ Bulkhead row offered almost unlimited legroom, but storage was limited to a shared compartment.
✅ The inflight service manager personally greeted and thanked the passenger for their Oneworld Emerald loyalty.
✅ The bulkhead seat, normally costing around $100 extra, was selected for free due to Oneworld Emerald status.
✅ The entertainment system was outstanding, with a vast selection of movies (including Disney+), TV shows, music, and games.
