The Festo Servo Motor is an inexpensive way to add motion control to an industrial application. We’ve had the pleasure to receive this hardware directly from Festo after a conversation on the Manufacturing Hub involving Preston Hadley (Episode:    • Ep. 6 - Special Guest [Preston Hadley] | S...  ). Preston has organized what’s called the “Change a Life Giveaway” in the past and is looking to repeat the event under the same format. The giveaway is aimed at individuals looking to enter the world of automation and that would benefit from receiving some aid in the form of a hardware/software kit.

In this episode, we’ve agreed to partner with Preston and create a few videos on the servo kit we’ve received from Festo for the giveaway.

In the first video, we’re unboxing the hardware, installing the software and connecting to the drive.
