This video was created through a mix of traditional work and new tools. The idea, story and visual direction were developed by Old Ships. Parts of the visuals were hand-drawn, others designed digitally in Photoshop. AI was then used as a catalyst to make this project possible by creating animations. Without it, the concept would simply have been unrealizable for us in terms of time and budget. it didn’t replace the creative work, it helped bring a long-standing idea to life. The final animation, editing and rhythm were assembled by hand in Premiere Pro, with the goal of using AI thoughtfully, in service of the original vision. We hope you'll like the result!

Ghost is a dark, restless track from Old Ships, drifting somewhere between new wave, post-punk and electronic rock. Built on cold synths, steady rhythms and tense guitars, the song explores what it means to fade out, to become invisible, trapped between desire, guilt and judgment.

The lyrics move through fractured relationships, obsession and exile, painting the portrait of characters marked by shame and violence, pushed to the margins for crimes they never committed. “Ghost” is not about redemption, but about living with what cannot be fixed.

Moody, raw and hypnotic, the track will resonate with listeners drawn to darker sounds, from post-punk and 80s-inspired new wave to modern electronic music with an edge.
