It is created by using magnets attached to the wheel spokes. This trouble-free and low-cost solution mainly serves as position lighting due to its limited power. Another downside is the large mass which is why such bike lights can be found mainly in city bikes. Dynamo lighting is the oldest way to power two-wheelers. Bicycle lights are charged this way while riding and generate very high power - up to 800 lumens. It's rather an expensive way to light our road. However, if you spend most of your time on a bike - it is really worth it.
Front bicycle light
When choosing front bike lights, it is best to take under consideration several parameters and features that are offered by a certain model. The power of lighting is, without a doubt, the most important one. The minimum for the front lamp used in the city should be 150 lumens, but a 300 lumens model will be a much better choice. Moving on roads outside the city you should already go towards products with minimum of 500 lumens while for off-road driving the absolute minimum will be 800 lumens. The greater the power of our bicycle lighting the better we will see what is in front of us, as well as on the sides, so you should not save money on the front lamps. The next parameter that is worth paying attention to is the number of lighting modes.
Rear bicycle lamp
The rear bike lights, which have a low power of 0.5 to 1W allow you to be noticed from a distance of up to 1.5 km. That's enough for a daily trip on less frequented roads. In a separate group there will be a strong bicycle lamp on the dynamo. There are even lamps that turn on when you use brakes - just like in cars. A rear lamp's task is not to light the road but to manifest our presence for those behind us.

When driving on the streets you should have lights on not only after dark but also during the day. You don't need a very expensive lamps set. Whether the lighting system will have a built-in battery or replaceable batteries is of little importance. Replaceable batteries cost more, but the lighting time is much longer and the lamp itself is cheaper. You can also buy replaceable, reusable batteries. The built-in battery is a more convenient solution, but remember to charge more often.
