It’s been estimated that two-thirds of Brits believe the country is becoming less civilised. And just this week Downton’s creator Julian Fellowes suggested that the modern world could learn from the manners in his show. So from not having phones out at the table, to holding a door open for a lady - do these traditions matter anymore? We’re joined by etiquette expert William Hanson who says bad manners is the worst trait a person can have, alongside Nicola McLean who thinks that we all need to move on and be more modern in our thinking.
