I’ve got a second hand lunch, I’ve got holes in my shoes
Everywhere I go, people cryin’ the blues
We’ve got tears on the street, crime at the top
Crazy rich people don’t know when to stop
Got so much, still want more
If it won’t make you happy whatcha doin’ it for?
Me and my friends picking crumbs up off of the floor

We’ve got guns on the street, we’ve got cops on the take
We ain’t got no bread, and we never eat cake
We’ve got holes in the roads, a hole in the sky
Holes in every part of your alibi
We don’t need your song and dance
We’re all waking up from a hand-me-down trance
Guess you shoulda cashed out when you had the chance

Because the world was changed forever
The day the truth was known to all, clear beyond denial
Now we’ve all sworn to stand together
Knowing that it’s now or never
Striking while the iron is hot
We’ve got - one shot

We shook hands in the street when the change came ‘round
Nobody hungry or cold, in the whole damn town
I’ve got friends on the left, friends on the right
All of our people gettin’ down tonight
Arm in arm, walking tall,
United we stand or divided we fall
Now it’s all for one, and one for all

Now we won’t have to wonder
Just how it feels to be at peace, free and breathing easy
We followed all their golden rules
While they played us all for fools
The tide has turned, the die is cast
Sea change - at last
