Описание: The Transfiguration is a revelation of Jesus' divinity before His eyewitnesses, Peter, James, and John. Their testimony of this event is forbidden by Jesus until after His resurrection. Glory comes, but not before suffering. Glory comes, the cross is first. The complete, full preaching of Jesus must entail suffering and death before that glorious resurrection in which the Church lives and shares. Peter testifies to this in his second epistle. He was on the mountain, saw it, and preaches it to a Church illuminated by the Light Who still dawns in our hearts.
