Modern Therocephalians: The Movie

Bauria is a therocephalian that admittedly, is a genus that nobody cares about too much. It lived in the early triassic, and was a part of an equally obscure group of therocephalians, the baurioids. The baurioids were the very last of the beast-heads, the most mammal-like of them all, with a similar amount of potential.
…but they got unlucky, and now, they’re gone forever. Their only legacy being the fossils they left behind for us to observe. And even then, they’ll just collect dust, never getting a fraction of the attention dinosaurs have.
But what if, in a different timeline, They adapted. They survived. They thrived?
Well, a lot happens, actually, but in short…
They were the sole survivors.
Then Became short-lived kings,
Determined diggers,
Miraculous mice…
They learned to shine and to embrace the shadows
Touch the stars and became something more.
They continued to fight despite extinction’s fright,
And eventually became the Ophaur.
