Responding to current issues, the webinar series aims to shed light on the military presences operating on the continent and the ways Africans grapple with them. This lecture is lecture 2 of 3 in the series.
Specifically the webinar with Dr. Horace Campbell aims to:
Situate Africom in a larger geopolitical context and in relation to competing military forces on the continent
Identify countries and places of operation and give examples of the consequences of this operation, and of African resistance and criticism.
Discuss why teachers should know about this military activity as responsive global actors.
The webinar is introduce by Dr. Elsa Wiehe and Ms. Linda Morse.
