On September 29, 1360 at the Town of Auray a French army led by Charles of Blois Face off against an army of Englishmen led by John Monfort. The battle began with a small scrimmage between English archers and French crossbowmen. After that the French attacked the English head-on. There was also an order not to quarter any captives so they can put an end to the war of the Sussessions. It seems like the French would win until English reserve restored the situation. Then the right flank of the French forces was counterattacked and fold it in. Likewise the same happened to the left side. In the chaos Charles was hit by a Lance and finish my English soldier. Well The count and Dubuescil where captured. The English victory brought an end to the war of sussession.
