What is the definition of ‘conjunction’.
The simple answer is; ‘junction’ in where two things connect. ‘Con’ means ‘With’.
A place where two things connect.
A conjunction is and word that is used to connect things.
The most common ones are “and”, “but” “or”.
They are used to connect things, either in a list, or used to connect pieces of sentences.
Like ‘I like pizza and ice cream’.
Those are conjunctions. Words that are used to link things.
To connect them.
These are the kind of words that they are so common and so useful that we just sort of know them more instinctively.
We develop an instinct for them quicker and they normally have direct translations.
So they are quite easy to understand.
