CDCLA participates in the CACFP food program. This is training video provides a step-by-step process to make Family Style service a great success. By following 7 simple steps, teachers learn how to engage infants, toddlers, and preschoolers during mealtime.

The video covers meal arrival, hand washing process, staff's role during meal service, the importance of proper meal count, and the cleaning process.

All meals are served family style in the toddler and preschool classrooms. Family style meal service allows children to eat without pressure, practice their fine motor skills, build self-esteem, develop healthy eating habits, and get to develop social skills while getting to know their fellow students and teachers.

CDCLA uses fresh fruits and vegetables, incorporates whole grains, and limits the amount of sugar children receive.
