Tension as more migrants reach Greek island

(3 Mar 2020) Scuffles broke out on the Greek island of Lesbos between migrants and police on Tueday, as migrants went to the port saying they had received a text message urging them to go and board ships for the mainland that had been laid on for them.
Meanwhile, separate groups of migrants who arrived on other parts of the island over the last few days have not been allowed to go to Moria, the island's main camp, and were housed instead temporarily at the port of Mytilini.
Other migrants who arrived elsewhere on the island have remained there because locals prevented buses from transporting them to Moria.
Some island residents over the past days prevented migrant boats from reaching shore and refused to allow their occupants to disembark.
Lesbos already hosts more than 20,000 migrants, most of whom live in the Moria camp that has a capacity of less than 3,000 people.
