This presentation aims to explain the risks of cybersquatting and the ways to detect it before it becomes a threat to any brand or institution.
A demonstration will be made on different techniques such as typosquatting, bitsquatting or IDN Homograph, among others, as well as generic open-source tools that enable the detection of such attacks.
Once the basics are explained, the goal of the study on TLDs will be presented: obtaining data from open sources to work with them and then analyse them to create a tool that will allow work to be automatized.
Once the presentation is over, its effectiveness and operation will be demonstrated by trying to detect actual threats in this field.

Wiktor Nykiel
Senior Manager leading EY’s EMEIA FSO Cyber Intelligence practice.
Previously responsible of the Global Cyber Intelligence Service at Prosegur, performing business development tasks since its inception.
CEO and founder of the technological startup Hackdoor, focused in innovation within the cyber intelligence area and runner up at CyberVentures 2015. His entrepreneurial life started in year 2004 as CEO of NIBBLE AT INFOREDUCA SL.
He additionally taught several cyber security courses at the Universidad de Alcalá de Hernares, as researcher of the Digital Security and Internet of the Future chair. Also participated as speaker in multiple conferences such as CiberSeg – Jornadas de Seguridad y Ciber Defensa, APWG.EU eCrime Cyber-Security Symposium and MundoHacker Day.
His passion for technology and security strongly motivate him to further investigate and learn day to day.

Iván Portillo
Senior Analyst within the service of Ciber Intelligence for the financial sector within EY, with more than 6 years of experience related to technological projects and computer security.
From the beginning, he has specialized in research related to OSINT, Deepweb, crawling, analyzing, correlating and extracting massive data with Big Data´s technologies. He also has extensive knowledgein forensic analysis and ethical hacking, being an expert in obtaining information,enriching the same one in diverse sources, to provide intelligence information for decision making.
He has previously served as a cyber intelligence analyst in different security operations centers of large multinational in the sector, providing him with a unique vision and experience.
He has participated in several entrepeneur projects oriented to technological innovation, including one of them the co-founder of Hackdoor, the startup finalist of the CyberVentures program whose main focus was innovation within the area of cyber intelligence.
Always focused on innovative research intertwining security with new technologies.

CyberCamp is the major cybersecurity event that INCIBE organises on a yearly basis for the purpose of identifying, appealing, managing and contributing to the creation of talent in cybersecurity that can be transferred to the private sector according to its demands. This initiative is one of the tasks that the Trust in the Digital Sphere Plan, included in the Spain’s Digital Agenda, has requested INCIBE to carry out.
