"Unfortunately ignorance from the government side actually deepens the gulf between society and the president. Hopefully our suggestion to have a straight meeting and talk with the president on the agenda that we already proposed is still remaining as our offer and if the government side will be, still, make decision to meet and have this thing, this meeting I think it will be one step forward for the resolution of this political crisis. If the ignorance will continue the political crisis will continue unfortunately."

STORYLINE:
About five hundred opposition activists were camped outside the Georgian presidential administration on Monday, following a fifth day of peaceful protests against the government.
The number of protesters has declined since the demonstrations began, but they are still capable of blocking main roads, and some are calling for more forceful action.
Opposition leaders say the daily protests will continue until Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili steps down.
On Monday Irakli Alasania reiterated demands that Saakashvili should meet opposition leaders for talks.
"I think it will be one step forward for the resolution of this political crisis. If the ignorance will continue the political crisis will continue unfortunately," he said.
Saakashvili still has a strong base of support and has vowed to serve out his second term, which ends in 2013.
His critics are angriest over his handling of last summer's brief war with Russia.
They also accuse him of ruling in the interests of his inner circle and trying to stamp out dissent, while not doing enough to help the poor and create jobs.
After a violent crackdown on opposition demonstrators in November 2007 brought widespread condemnation, Saakashvili's government has pledged not to intervene in the current protests, and police have stayed away.
Opposition leaders have insisted the protests will remain peaceful, but some participants have started to call for more forceful actions.
