Step by step, DIY instruction, including close-ups, on how to change your CTS (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013) cabin air filter. A new cabin air filter can keeps dust and pollutants out of the cabin, and further keeps the AC and Heater blower lasting longer, saving you money in the long-run. A charcoal filter adds an additional filter layer by removing smell and odors from entering the car.
Filter used: Bosch charcoal C3859WS (Made in USA). OEM part number: 1933 8012
Always check fitment for your exact car and model before purchasing.
All you need is a 7mm socket. It's an easy DIY job.
The car shown is a 2011 Cadillac CTS (V6 3.0L) however these instructions can be used for other model years too, as the car's design was relatively unchanged for many years, such 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
It's a simple and cheap fix, improves air flow, quality of air and saves your AC and heating ventilation parts, which is why I change mine frequently.
