Cleveland weather: Sun and clouds on Tuesday with scattered lake snow possible in Northeast Ohio

The cold sticks around for much of the week -- the coldest will be tomorrow with highs in the mid 10s at best. Our average highs this time of year are near 40! This cold air is tough to keep around this time of year as our sun angle begins to increase and we get more energy from that bright sun. We're going to do it, however, with highs well below average for the entire week.

Our next shot at snow showers outside of the lake effect snow will arrive on Thursday as a weak disturbance slides through the Great Lakes. This will help to kick off a few snow showers beginning Wednesday night with lingering snow showers on Thursday.

Otherwise, a few weak systems will slide through the Ohio Valley and Great Lakes in the extended, but no major snowstorms are in the forecast. We can start to warm up now -- anytime...
