There is a voice that calls to every generation. It is the voice that called to Abraham in the stillness of the night, that called to Moses from the midst of the burning bush, that called to Elijah on the mountain in a whisper that shook the earth. That same voice calls to you now. You may not have heard it in thunder or in fire, but it speaks to the depths of your soul. It tells you there is more to life than the shallow pursuits of this age. It tells you that the days we are living in are not ordinary. They are days of shaking, days when what can be shaken will be shaken, so that what cannot be shaken will remain. The structures you once trusted in are trembling. The systems that claimed to be unshakable are collapsing. The powers of this world are boasting, but the One who sits in the heavens is not moved. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
We live in a time when truth has been redefined, when morality has been overturned, when light is called darkness and darkness is called light. And yet, none of this is new. The prophets of old saw these days and warned of them. They saw nations turning away from the God who blessed them, just as ancient Israel turned from the Lord after He lifted them up from bondage. The blessings of freedom, prosperity, and peace were meant to draw them closer to Him—but instead, they became intoxicated with their own success, worshiping the work of their own hands. They forgot that every breath is a gift, every heartbeat sustained by the One who spoke the universe into existence. And so the same danger lies before us now. We have been given blessings beyond measure, but blessings can become a curse when they blind our eyes to the Giver.
This is why the call goes forth now—to wake up. Wake up from the slumber of complacency. Wake up from the deception of thinking that tomorrow will be just like today. Wake up to the reality that the days ahead will not be as the days behind. The ground beneath your feet is shifting, but the Rock of Ages remains unmoved. The storms will come, but those who build on that Rock will stand. Do not be among those who spend their lives building on sand—on wealth, on status, on the approval of men—only to watch it all wash away in the tide. Build on what is eternal. Build on the Word that does not change.
The nations rage and kingdoms rise and fall, but the Kingdom of God does not waver. Its foundations were laid before the beginning of time, and its gates will not be moved. And yet, this Kingdom does not advance by force of arms or the decrees of kings—it advances through the hearts of those who surrender to its King. You are called to be one of them. You are called not to blend in with the darkness of this age, but to shine as a light in the midst of it. You are called to stand when the world bows, to speak truth when lies are celebrated, to love when hatred abounds, to forgive when vengeance burns hot. This is not the way of the world, but it is the way of the Kingdom.
Understand this—every trial you face, every shaking that comes, is not meant to destroy you but to refine you. Just as gold is purified in the fire, so your faith is strengthened in the furnace of testing. The enemy will tell you that the fire means God has abandoned you, but the truth is the opposite. The fire means He is with you in a way that the easy days could never reveal. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were thrown into the furnace by the command of a king, but there in the flames, they encountered a fourth man, one like the Son of God. The fire did not consume them—it consumed the ropes that bound them. And so it will be with you, if you trust Him. The fire that seems like it will destroy you is the very thing that will set you free.
