The only road to our off-grid cabin goes through a tiny mountain village where the street was built for donkeys, not cars. In this video, we show how challenging it really is to drive through one narrow road to reach our remote cabin in the mountains.
This village has just one street, originally used by horses and donkeys centuries ago, and driving a car through it today is a slow, careful process. After making it through the tightest part, we continue on foot, descending steep terrain to finally reach our off-grid cabin.
Along the way, we share what daily access looks like when you choose remote living, from narrow village roads to mountain paths, waterfalls, and lush green landscapes after heavy rain. It’s not always easy—but getting there is always worth it.
