This is BY FAR the most complicated ring I’ve ever worked on

Описание: In this video, I take on one of the most complex resizing jobs I’ve ever done— doubling the size of a handmade tri-color ring from the 1970s. It was made in Iran and features platinum rails, yellow and rose gold braids, and a halo of diamonds surrounding a 4 carat red star sapphire (or star ruby, whichever you prefer), all of which had to survive a 4.5 size increase.

To keep the structure intact, I removed the stone, rebuilt the shank layer by layer, and re-create the braided pattern by hand, carving the illusion of the twisted wires back into the chunk of solid gold stripes. This project is part restoration, part engineering, and part archaeology. Im pretty happy with the results. What do you think?
