This event celebrates 2022 Black History Month and National Social Work Month, and also commemorates the United Nations International Decade for People of African Descent 2015-2024.
As you may be aware, Black History Month is observed annually across Canada in the month of February while National Social Work Month is observed throughout March. This event will provide an opportunity for leaders and participants to share their experiences on how you've successfully navigated in your careers as Black Social Workers. Events like this can unite us in celebrating diversity and raising awareness about the experiences of Blacks Social Workers.
This is a topic not often discussed in Social Work practice but impacts how we interact with our colleagues, clients, and the community that we serve.
