VIDEO CONTENTS:
[0:00] Introduction
[1:10] Tieing up the dry blank
[2:44] Presoaking the blank
in water + a few tablespoons of white vinegar
[4:00] Mixing the dyes
Deep Magenta, Caribbean Blue, and Brilliant Yellow 1% Stock Solutions from Dharma trading company
Mixing by feel. STarted with 50 mL of water so it would dilute the dyes a bit (allowing us to spread them out.)
[11:33] Removing some liquid with my spin dryer
[12:36] Tie dyeing the sock blank
add a little more acid (10 mL vinegar) on top)
[20:42] Steam setting the blank
30 minutes steaming
[20:58] The yarn mop - using some of the leftover dye
(I'm going to save some of the rest of the dye for another video that will come out in December)
