Crankset Reassembly and test spin
52 easy steps to remove and replace a press-fit bottom bracket
1. Loosen Crank bolt with 8mm Allen 50Nm torque tool on Drive side (Sram Red crankset)
2. Remove chain from crank set to avoid parts damage and allow accessibility
3. Loosen crank bolt with 8mm Allen key on driveside (Sram Red crankset)
4. Remove crank and chainrings on driveside (Sram Red crankset)
5. Remove crank on non-driveside (Sram Red crankset)
6. First cleaning of frame around bottom bracket area
7. Remove SRAM DUB spacer ring (3mm) on driveside
8. Preparation of Ougewood bottom bracket removal and installation tool
9. Unboxing of Ougewood bottom bracket removal and installation tool
9.a Stainless steel screw
9.b Screw cup 24-30mm
9.c Aluminum alloy brace
9.d Stainless steel removal ring (24mm/30mm/38mm)
9.e Stainless Steel removal ring (30mm for SRAM DUB bottom bracket)
9.f Center stainless steel screw into aluminium alloy brace
9.g Assemble plane thrust bearing and screw handle
9.h Assemble handle with screw

10. Move screw with aluminium alloy brace from non-drivetrain side into bottom bracket
11. Fit removal ring from drivetrain side onto aluminium alloy brace
12. Add the screw cup onto the screw from drivetrain side
13. Turn the handle clockwise to start pressing the removal screw against the bottom bracket drivetrain cup
14. Remove the bottom bracket drivetrain cup/ bearings completely
15. Remove cup and tool from drivetrain side
16. Change bottom bracket side access to non-drivetrain (Allow access by turning the bicycle on the stand, depending on your stand)
17. Move screw with aluminium alloy brace from drivetrain side into bottom bracket
18. Fit removal ring from drivetrain side onto aluminium alloy brace
19. Add the Screw cup onto the screw from non-drivetrain side
20. Move the handle clockwise to start pressing the removal screw against the bottom bracket non- drivetrain cup
21. Remove the bottom bracket non-drivetrain cup/ bearings completely
22. Admire your removal work!
23. Second cleaning of frame around bottom bracket area (after BB removal)
24. Third cleaning inside bottom bracket area (after BB removal)
25. Tool preparation for inserting bottom bracket
26. Add anti-seize compound to new bottom bracket cup
27. Add anti-seize compound to bottom bracket frame surface areas
28. Insert tool with new bottom bracket cup on non-drivetrain side
29. Turn handles clockwise to press new bottom bracket cup into frame. Ensure that cup holder sits in parallel position on non-drivetrain side to counter hold
30. Ensure parallel fit of cup into frame. Avoid any minimal tilt
31. Loosen bottom bracket tool from non-drivetrain side
32. Fourth cleaning to remove the anti-seize compound
33. Change bottom bracket side access to drivetrain (Allow access by turning the bicycle on the stand, depending on your stand)
34. Add anti-seize compound to bottom bracket frame surface areas (drivetrain side)
35. Ensure bottom bracket insert directions have been followed
36. Add anti-seize compound to bottom bracket cup (drivetrain side)
37. Insert bottom bracket shell into frame space from drivetrain side
38. Remove chain for access and bottom bracket functionality check later
39. Insert aluminium screw from drivetrain side and hold cup onnon-drivetrain side
40. Turn handles clockwise to press new bottom bracket cup into frame. Ensure that cup holder sits in parallel position on non-drivetrain side to counter hold
41. Turn handle until cup is inserted completely in frame lip
42. Turn handle counterclockwise to release tool
43. Fifth Cleaning to remove anti-seize compound
44. Fit 3mm drivetrain side spacer ring for SRAM BB86.5
45. Grease spindle
46. Insert crank and spindle into non-drivetrain side
47. Fit and mount crank with chainrings (8mm Allen key)
48. First crank spin test
49. Use Torque Wrench (8mm Allen socket) to apply final crank torque (50Nm)
50. Second crank spin test
51. Mount chain back on
52. Secure SRAM powerlock chain connector
