Описание: Hurðaskellir, also known as the Door Slammer, is one of the thirteen Icelandic Yule Lads—a unique twist on the holiday season in Iceland. Unlike the jolly Santa Claus, these Icelandic Christmas trolls have distinct personalities and quirky habits, each bringing their own flair to the festive season.

In this video, we’ll dive deep into the story of Hurðaskellir, the Yule Lad who loves slamming doors in the middle of the night to scare people and disrupt their sleep. But Hurðaskellir is just one of the Jólasveinar (Yule Lads), who, alongside their fearsome mother, Grýla, and the terrifying Yule Cat, are an integral part of Icelandic Christmas traditions.

Learn how these pranksters arrive one by one during the 13 days leading up to Christmas, leaving small gifts or potatoes (yes, potatoes!) in the shoes of children.
