We spent the last moments of the year exploring Melbourne; visiting a K-pop store, heading to DFO, and enjoying slow, scenic walks along the Yarra River and South Wharf’s promenade. We wandered through Carlton Gardens and checked out the LEGO Star Wars exhibition at the Melbourne Museum, which honestly hit me with a wave of childhood nostalgia like a truck ⭐️
We also had our first and last Haidilao of 2025, then watched the New Year’s fireworks from South Wharf instead of Docklands. What a way to welcome 2026! On New Year’s Day, we went to Melbourne Central (surprisingly, so many shops were open!), had brunch at a super cute café called Amiri Café at QV, and did a bit of shopping.
You’ll also see me unbox two Pop Mart Skullpanda blind boxes, visit Matcha Kōbō to watch their traditional matcha mills grind fresh matcha powder from leaves + sip their matcha, and spend some meaningful time planning and shopping with my family before they flew back home 🤍
This episode feels like a soft transition...closing one year, opening another, and letting memories settle...Started off 2025 strong, ended it strong, and entering 2026 strong with unmatched positive vibes!
