Romani Reunion - Vivi & Tcha Limberger - Koen, Dajo & Waso De Cauter, Djalt Baculalay - Bar Lume

Описание: These recordings are from a while ago, but I never got around to finishing them up and uploading them here; they were recorded during a reunion concert of the band Romani; my grandfather Koen De Cauter and his son Dajo and Albert Vivi Limberger and his son Tcha.
They toured and played a lot back in the day and recorded one cd; an amazing and beautiful collection of traditional tunes and own compositions. It has always been one of my favorite cds so I was delighted to hear that they were doing a reunion and it was a great honour to me to be invited to play alongsides them.
Both my grandfather and Vivi aren't in their prime anymore and therefore I joined in for some extra support on guitar and my dad Waso also joined for a few songs (he's not in picture but you can see glances of him in the mirror above the piano)
Despite both not being in the best shape, Vivi's singing is still amazing and his voice remains mesmerizing and my grandfather's soprano saxophone playing remains highly unique and creative with an unbeatable, hauntingly beautiful tone.

The recordings aren't perfect at all, Tcha is often not fully in frame, my dad is completely off screen, the music is a bit chaotic at times but still remains very beautiful and didn't lose any of its characteristic charm and uniqueness.
