34067 Tangmere starts the steam season of well, with the first Cumbrian Mountain Express, Manchester Victoria to Carlisle.
First clips are from Wigan North Western with the ex Southern Region, Battle of Britain class arriving with the bright morning sunright above.
Then on to Preston, where the loco was detached and ran back into platfrom 7 to take on water.
I left Preston 2 minutes before the railtour to get to Penrith in time to see at speed through the station.
Finally on to Carlisle to see th ECS head to Upperby and back, before the return left back to Manchester over the S&C. 31st January 2026
