To improve the process, Thames Water worked alongside SymTerra and their supply chain to create an industry first: a system-agnostic, open-source Building Information Modelling (BIM) programme, developed without the use of a single CAD file.

The platform has been designed as a mobile-first application, offering voice-dictation to effectively reduce the number of clicks needed while building necessary reports in the field. When back in the office, the data collected can be easily integrated with other company systems.
