Episode 31 sees us put our tactics under the microscope. I kick things off by breaking down my control possession setup after a viewer question.
We start strongly with a 3–1 win over Chelsea, followed by penalty shootout victories against Leeds and Norwich in the Carabao Cup. In the league, we edge past champions Newcastle but then hit a frustrating run of tight games, draws, and narrow 1–0 defeats that expose a growing issue again up front.
Sitting 12th with 8 goals scored and 8 conceded, the margins are fine, but the front three have gone quiet. I experiment briefly with wing play but ultimately stick with my control possession philosophy, looking instead at tweaks in the final third rather than abandoning what’s worked so far.
Can we fix the goals without losing control? That’s the challenge heading into the next episode.
