In his book "Songlines", Bruce Chatwin explains how we first made sense of the world: through rhythm, song and walking through it. Only much later, based on millions of years of "walking the earth" was speech developed. Therefore to create meaning within life and work, rhythm and melody is still of prime importance. Think of one of those boring meeting or presentations where everyone was half asleep. Monotony kills meaning. And just because something is based on facts, doesn't mean it does not have a rhythm or melody.
There are several takeaways here. First: if you would like that that what you say has more meaning to others, that it "resonates" with them, then find its underlying rhythm and melody and try to focus on that while you make your point. Second: the question of rhythm permeates all aspects of life. Are you able to shape your day based on your own rhythm or are you constantly "dancing to the tune of others"?
