Take one last ride on Roar at Six Flags America. With the permanent closure of the park on November 2, 2025, we are looking back at this classic Great Coasters International (GCI) wooden coaster. Built in 1998, Roar was known for its aggressive, twisted layout, featuring 6 sweeping drops and a 50mph speed.
This HD front-row, on-ride video captures my final ride before the park closed its gates for good. While the RMC version of Roar at Discovery Kingdom was transformed in 2015, the Maryland version remained a staple for thrill-seekers for over 25 years.
