After being away from this spot for almost a month, I decided to visit Cooksville GO station again for some railfanning on the station platform. The weather was a bit better than last time. The forecast called for snow/rain but it was only -5 C outside and it never snowed or rained which was a good thing.
1. CP 440 led by CP 5956, ICE 6452 "City of St.Paul", and CP 9147 lead this eastbound Autorack/mixed freight train from Windsor to Toronto. Thanks to the awesome crew for the horn!
2. CP 242 led by StL&H 5651 and ICE 6401 "City of Davenport" in elephant style lead this short eastbound Intermodal/mixed freight train from Chicago to Toronto. This train was ordered to drop off 4 Intermodal cars at the 427 then it would continue east to Toronto Yard.
3. CP 2-242 led by SOO 6047, SOO 6043, and a brand new GO 654 lead this eastbound Autorack/mixed freight train from Chicago to Toronto. GO 654 is the third last engine to be delivered for GO Transit from MPI in Boise, ID. There is still GO 655 and GO 656 to be delivered and CP will be hauling them but I'm not sure what train(s) will take them.

4. CP 133 led by CP 6075, ICE 6413 "City of Minneapolis", and CP 6601 (ex SOO Line) lead the westbound Expressway train from Montreal to Milton Yard.
It was a very awesome day at Cooksville. All 4 trains had all EMD/GMD power and not a single GE was on any of the lash-up's! I also got 3 ICE EMD SD40-3's, and a brand new GO Transit MPI MP40PH-3C being delivered behind 2 SOO Line GMD SD60's in the "candy apple" red paint, and the Expressway also had one of the 3 ICE on it. A very rare sighting on the expressway! This is probably the best day at Cooksville yet.
Enjoy!
