🚗 2008 Toyota Corolla – Passenger Floor Water Leak Diagnosis & Repair
Customer’s complaint: water soaking the passenger carpet after going through the car wash. A shop diagnosed it as a heater core leak and quoted $1000+ for parts and labor.
Upon inspection, I noticed:
• No coolant loss
• Coolant was red/orange, while the leaking fluid was clear water
• The real culprit: a clogged HVAC drain tube near the firewall.
