Zilean has everything a support can give. Area stun + slow/speed + ressurrection... He is mostly played with Aery and Shurelya but I don't think that any of those makes him more support than he already is.
His Q is a pure skillshot that requires to be much more rewarding. With this build, after putting 1 extra point to Q at level 4, it will be. From level 4 until the end of the game, he will only grow stonger. And so as his team.
New Seraph's Embrace fixes many problems in this build. Rest of the build is just a lot of AP and some magic penetration. Mejai's Soulstealer is very easy to stack with your unending survival skills.
I tried this without Seraph's Embrace and with new version of Rod of Ages, but it doesn't feel any good. This build is much much better.
