Today we’re marking World Kidney Day, recognising the experiences of children living with kidney conditions and the families supporting them.
As part of World Kidney Day, we’re sharing the story of Bay and her mother Jen. Bay became seriously ill at just two years old and was rushed to Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) with sudden kidney failure, beginning a long journey that included intensive care, years of nightly dialysis and, later, a kidney transplant.
We are proud to have been on this journey with Bay and to support her now, bringing moments of joy, comfort and distraction along the way.
