What is Memory?
1. Memory plays a very important role in all input/out operations of the computer.
Example:
When input devices send data/instructions to the CPU, it will go through memory and when CPU want to send data/instructions to the Output devices it will also go through the Memory.
2. Memory refers to a storage location which can be directly accessed by the central processing Unit (CPU).
3. As we know the speed of CPU is very fast and it required data/information as fast as possible to do its operations.
4. Memory typically called RAM (Random Access Memory) is very fast but temporary memory.
5. RAM is a volatile memory which means when computer will be disconnected from the power supply, all the data and instructions inside the 6. RAM will be erased as well. These data/instructions will not be available for future use.
7. Data and instructions are being used by the CPU will remain inside the memory.
