A tour of the sacred Pashupatinath Lord Shiva Temple Kathmandu, Nepal

Описание: After the completion the Everest Base Camp, I managed to go to the sacred Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu, Nepal. Being born and raised in the Hindu religion this was a very special journey and pilgrimage for me. Although I couldn't take my camera and take pictures and video inside the temple's sacred grounds, I do try to give you a view from the outside chambers of this temple. Whether you are Hindu or not, this is a beautiful temple and you can definitely feel the presence of a higher power! Everyone should visit this temple if you ever make it out to Kathmandu, Nepal!

Pashupatinath Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Pashupati, and is located in Kathmandu, Nepal near the Bagmati River. This is currently the largest temple in the world as well as one of the Oldest Temple.

This temple was classified as a World Heritage Site in 1979. This "extensive Hindu temple precinct" is a "sprawling collection of temples, ashrams, images and inscriptions raised over the centuries along the banks of the sacred Bagmati river", and is one of seven monument groups in UNESCO's designation of Kathmandu Valley.[1] It is built on an area of 246 hectares (2,460,000 m2) and includes 518 mini-temples and a main pagoda house.

The temple is one of the Paadal Petra Sthalams on the continent.
