Beaver Science Speaker Series presents Dr. Camille McNeely: Are Beaver Dam Analogs an Effective Restoration Technique in Wildfire-impacted, Semi-arid Watersheds?
Dr. Camille McNeely is a professor of Biology at Eastern Washington University. Her research encompasses a variety of topics in applied stream ecology, with interests in stream restoration, invertebrate biodiversity, and nutrient cycling. Recent projects in her laboratory include 1) evaluating the effectiveness of beaver dam analogs to improve water storage and reduce incision in wildfire-impacted streams, 2) macroinvertebrate distribution and diversity in major watersheds of the Inland Northwest, USA, and 3) environmental determinants of distributions of freshwater sponges and fairy shrimp in the Inland Northwest.
