A 4K Toronto walk along Eglinton Avenue West which runs along the city's midtown area. I start just west of Dufferin Street and walk east for 5 km to the intersection of Yonge and Eglinton. You'll notice a lot of construction on the street which makes it quite inconvenient to walk through due to the never-ending construction of the Crosstown LRT which is a light rail line that will see 15 of its 25 stations be located underground. To me the whole project feels somewhat incomplete since there was originally to be a subway line on Eglinton which was cancelled by the Harris regime back in 1995. A lot of local businesses have suffered because of this construction and I'm sure the Coronavirus / Covid-19 pandemic situation really isn't helping. On a positive note the area around Oakwood Avenue is well known for its bbq-fueled street life. I recorded this on Sunday, May 31st just after 3:30 pm. The temperature was about 16 degrees Celsius.
