Some nurses were in tears today as tens of thousands of healthcare workers went on strike over pay and what they say are dangerous staffing levels.
In Christchurch, one man was arrested after allegedly threatening to kill protesting nurses. Health NZ says 4,300 procedures and surgeries had to be postponed today, while the Government accused nurses of endangering patients by going on strike.
