Описание: Birta Abiba Þórhallsdóttir was crowned Miss Universe Iceland in 2019. Being the face of Iceland is something she might have never achieved if she hadn't learned to love and accept herself. However, her road to self-love and acceptance was a tough one.


As a child growing up in Iceland, she was verbally and physically abused by other children simply because of her skin color. Among other things in this interview, she shares the impact that racism had on her self-esteem and what she is doing with her platform to help combat race based bullying in Iceland. It was such a pleasure to chat with her because she is truly beautiful inside and out.
