In the heart of Balochistan, thousands of people travel across deserts every Ramadan toward a sacred mountain known as Koh e Murad. This video explores the Zikri community Pakistan, their spiritual traditions, and the centuries old pilgrimage that continues to shape their identity.
Rooted in the teachings of Syed Muhammad Jaunpuri, the Zikri faith emphasizes remembrance of God through collective Zikr. The Koh e Murad pilgrimage, held annually on the 27th of Ramadan near Turbat, remains the most significant spiritual gathering for this community. Alongside this tradition, the video examines the community’s geographic spread across Makran, Gwadar, Panjgur, and Lyari, as well as the demographic changes caused by development and security challenges.
This documentary style exploration offers insight into Zikrism beliefs, Baloch cultural heritage, and a religious community that has remained largely unseen despite its deep roots in Pakistan’s history.
