York is situated half way between London and Edinburgh and with the Yorkshire dales on it doorstep. The river Ouse runs through the city and the ancient city walls. Shops, bars and restaurants abound. A fabulous Minster, Museum Gardens and the wonderful Shambles just a few places to visit.
