Описание: after months and months of mental struggle and art block, i finally managed to make something i’m really happy with. i was afraid i wouldn’t be able to get this out before the end of june!

you can just call the song “tell you” if you want to talk about it shorthand. so, “tell you” is about my perspective of bubbles and maud in what their relationship would look like, carrying over from CUTIEMARKS. the lyrics come from bubbles’ perspective exclusively. but the music itself is representative of how i feel they meld together.

lyrically, i wanted the song to embody a lot of our feelings right now. how it feels to be openly queer in a hostile world, hoping to fight for these freedoms we are owed. i think of maud as someone who would dwell a lot on these things quietly, while bubbles would always be the first to triumphantly herald a hope for the both of them, and for everypony. lastly, i wanted the lyrics to consider aspects of both of their unique, autistic love for each other.
