This short film was inspired by the poem “The Noonday Witch (Polednice)” from Kytice (Bouquet) by Karel Jaromír Erben, a classic collection of thirteen ballads first published in 1853. The fourth tale, Polednice, explores the power of maternal love and the responsibilities that come with it.
The film was created during a 10-day Erasmus+ Youth Exchange titled Creative Bridges: Audiovisual Synergy in Železná Ruda, Czech Republic. Participants worked in real film-set departments, collaborating closely to recreate a professional production environment and bring their own modern adaptation of this haunting legend to life.
🎬 The final film, Polednice, was screened on 11 December at Skautský Institut in Prague.
