Bombings and tit for tat executions were commonplace but between 1975 and 1982 for the residents of the district of Shankill in the city of Belfast it wasn’t the sound of bullets or explosions that chilled their blood, it was the sound of a London black taxi the mode of transport used by a group of depraved psychopathic sadists known as the Shankill butchers, led by a monster called Lenny Murphy who murdered at least 22 people.
