Smoke is a Funk/Soul outfit from Kansas City, Missouri, USA. The group consisted of members Arthur Malone, Ernest Malone, Melvin Manning and Larry Brown (real name Lawrence Lloyd Brown Sr.) who was part of the Blue Notes and the 80's Funk/Soul group Caviar. Smoke began singing in 1970 at the Royal Bunny Club in KC, Kansas. The group toured with the Dells and the Undisputed Truth. The group co-starred with such luminaries as B. B. King, Redd Foxx, and Marvin Gaye. Smoke perfomed in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Atlanta and many towns in the South and Southeast.

Smoke recorded one LP in 1976 for the defunct Kansas City record label J.Bridge Records. The album have been reissued to CD for the Japanese market in 1996 by P-Vine. Not a bad track on the album!
