Basin Street Blues violin tutorial

Описание: Basin Street Blues is one of the most famous early jazz tunes. In this violin tutorial I run through the melody of the verse and chorus, suggesting how best to adapt it for the jazz violin. I then look at three different approaches to soloing. Firstly I try the B flat major blues scale throughout. Secondly I carefully follow each chord, and thirdly I centre the solo around a few key notes within the melody. I use on screen sheet music throughout, and a free pdf copy is available to subscribers.
