A concept album built upon musings about the social and spiritual implications of an invisible element conditioning the contemporary human life.
Coltan is a dull black metallic ore from which the elements niobium and tantalum are extracted. The niobium-dominant mineral in coltan is columbite, and the tantalum-dominant mineral is tantalite.
It's the equivalent of the infamous "blood diamonds" as it is mainly extracted and smuggled from the Democratic Republic of Congo for the production of cell phones and electronic devices, as well as exported to China for processing into electronic-grade tantalum powder and wires.
