On my way to office, I found a bird (Common Myna) stuck upside down on a tree branch. She was entangled with a kite string on her one leg and was in dire pain due to dehydration and the preying crows.
There was a struggle between the mynas and the crows, and that drew my attention. Though the place was not so busy, nor were the passersby, but no one bothered to pause a little and help that little thing.
I felt not to leave her in the fate of death as soon she will be a nice breakfast to the crows.
I went to nearby house, and requested someone to help, as I alone may not make it. A teen boy and his family welcomed this rescue and in the very naive ways we built stick with knife and sickle and tried to rescue, but were not successful in a few attempts. The main concert was that if we slipped a little, the bird would have died a painful death

Seeing us struggling, some people on their way to work stopped and escalated the mission. They broke the big branch carefully, untangled him from the nylon threads and lo the bird was free in the skies again. And to our surprise there were some other mynas, waiting for their poor friend, who accompanied her when she got free.

I was overjoyed and thanked my friend for the help. Though I got late for the office a little, this act of kindness was worth it.
